Hero Core ist ein Action Adventure von Daniel Remar, das sich durch klassisches Gameplay und eine reduzierte, GameBoy ähnliche Grafik auszeichnet.

Like the first game, the graphics are black and white, the controls are simple and the gameplay is easy to learn. The nonlinear game world allows you to tackle the boss machines in nearly any order, or head straight for Tetron’s headquarters if you’re skilled enough.”

Die unterschiedlichen Schwierigkeitsgrade ermöglichen einen leichten Einstieg, durch beenden des Spieles schaltet ihr neue Spielmodi und -Karten frei. Ein nettes, wenn auch unnötiges Feature stellt die Spracheinstellung dar, die ihr auf “Retro” stellen könnt. Dadurch wird die typische Umgangssprache alter Videospiele aktiviert.
